A couple of days ago the two leaders of Berlin had a meet. It was a meeting of East Germany’s Prime Minister Willi Stoth and West Germany’s Chancellor Willy Brandt.

This song was written by Nina Simone and Weldon Irvine and was a song about Nina’s friend Lorraine Hansbury who died of cancer in 1965 and was a renowned playwright.

There were several hit versions of this song including Aretha Franklin. This version by Bob and Marcia reached No. 11. Bob was Bob Andy who was actually born n Jamaica as Keith Anderson and was heavily involved in reggae music and was even writing songs for Ken Boothe.

Marcia Llyneth Griffiths was also known as the Queen of reggae in the 1970s.
